Jean Dorff Consulting & Speaking

Strategy · Leadership · Professional Development

Strategy is only as strong as the people executing it.

For organisations and leadership teams navigating transformation, and for professionals who need more than a plan — they need the clarity and capacity to move it forward.

Jean Dorff

The Philosophy

Most strategy fails between the decision and the execution.

Organisations don't lose execution capacity because their strategy is wrong. They lose it in the gap between what leadership decides and what the organisation can actually carry. That gap is rarely visible until it's too late.

This work addresses that gap directly — at the organisational level and at the individual level. Because strategy without people who can execute it is just a document. And people without clarity about where they are going cannot execute anything with conviction.

Four decades of cross-domain work — corporate strategy, team alignment, professional development, and the study of how individuals and organisations find and use their authority — inform everything here.

THE TRACK RECORD

Three Decades, One Question.

Fourteen years at Malmberg (Sanoma Group), one of Europe's leading educational publishers, during the shift from print to digital. Then fourteen more at Texas Instruments Educational Technology — rising to Director of Business and Product Strategy for Europe and Asia, with P&L responsibility for a $50M business and leadership roles across regional teams spanning Europe, Asia Pacific, and the Middle East.

What stayed constant wasn't the technology. Through every wave of change, the question underneath was always the same: what does this actually mean for the people using it? Never technology for its own sake. Never riding a wave because it was there.

Areas of Work

Three areas of focus.

Strategy Development

For

Leadership teams and organisations navigating significant change, growth, or realignment.

What it covers

  • Strategic clarity — defining where the organisation is actually going, not just where it says it is going
  • Execution capacity — identifying and closing the gap between strategic intent and organisational reality
  • Team alignment — building the shared understanding that makes coordinated action possible
  • Technology integration — ensuring that tools serve strategy rather than driving it
  • Authority at the organisational level — how organisations build and sustain recognised expertise in their field

Professional & Leadership Development

For

Individual leaders, senior professionals, and high-performing teams who need more than skills training — they need clarity about who they are as a professional and where they are going.

What it covers

  • Clarifying professional identity and direction — what you stand for, not just what you do
  • Developing the authority to lead — the capacity to be recognised for what you actually know
  • Performance under pressure — decision-making and presence in high-stakes environments
  • Cross-domain thinking — applying pattern recognition from multiple disciplines to complex professional challenges
  • Connected to The Authority Bridge methodology for professionals seeking to codify and communicate their expertise

Speaking

For

Conferences, leadership retreats, corporate events, and professional development programmes seeking a speaker who goes beyond frameworks and addresses the human dimensions of strategy, authority, and transformation.

Topics

  • The Strategy Gap — why execution fails and what to do about it
  • Authority and Expertise — the difference between what you know and what the world recognises
  • Expression and Leadership — how the capacity to express clearly drives organisational performance
  • Cross-domain thinking — what four decades across strategy, healing, movement, and publishing teaches about human transformation
  • Custom topics available — developed in conversation with the organiser
